  • The Professional selling plan costs $39.99 per month

Step 2: Create a seller central account

After choosing a plan and registering with Amazon, you can use your email address to create your Seller Central account associated with the Amazon customer account. 

Here are some required information that sellers need to have on hand: 

  • Bank account and routing number
  • Internationally chargeable credit card
  • Government-issued ID
  • Tax information
  • Phone number

After creating and setting up an account on Amazon, I need 48 hours for the new seller approval process to start listing products. Then, It takes me a few days to list all the products (about 30 minutes to an hour for a product following Amazon’s seller policies and guidelines) and promote them. After 3 weeks, I can start selling on Amazon.

    Almost everyone can become an Amazon seller because they offer two sales plans with different levels and sets of services. From my experience, if you plan to sell less than 40 products monthly, starting with the individual plan was ideal. It keeps things simple while you still have basic tools and services such as listing one product at a time, getting help from seller support, and managing

    • 60% of sales in the Amazon store come from independent sellers—most of which are small and medium-sized businesses.
