LitCommerce simplifies your integration process and allows you to manage both platforms at a dashboard only, reducing operational tasks so you can focus on growing your sales.
What Is the A-Z Guide to Etsy Amazon Integration?
Before starting anything related to Amazon Etsy integration, you should first have an Amazon account, an Etsy account, and an eCommerce platform. Once your Amazon store is set up, you can explore different methods to connect Etsy to Amazon. If you’re searching for a powerful multichannel selling tool, LitCommerce Amazon integration could be the ideal choice—offering easy setup and seamless Etsy Amazon integration.
Now, let’s dive into the five steps!
Step 1: Set up and connect the main store
In this step, an eCommerce platform will be utilized as the main source of information to start the Etsy Amazon integration process. On LitCommerce, your eCommerce platform is called the main store.
- After having your eCommerce platform, log in or sign up for a LitCommerce account.
- The source store setup page will appear on the screen; simply click Connect on your eCommerce platform from our platform-supported list. You can choose from the supported eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Squarespace, Magento, Wix, and Square.
- Then LitCommerce will direct you to another window and ask you to log in to your eCommerce platform account.
Note:
For Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, BigCommerce, Squarespace, Shoplazza, and SHOPLINE, you can directly install the LitCommerce plugin or extension to your website via their app market.
For example, if you are selling on the Shopify platform, you must log in and navigate to the Shopify App Store. From there, look up LitCommerce Amazon eBay Etsy +, and click Add app to use our LitCommerce tool.
Step 2: Connect Etsy and Amazon as sales channels
After connecting the eCommerce platform as the main store, Etsy and Amazon stores need to be connected as the sales channels.
Note: On the initial setup page, you can only connect your store to one sales channel (Etsy or Amazon). After you have finished connecting, you can continue to connect more channels as long as it’s within the plan limit.
So, let’s set up Etsy as your first sales channel on LitCommerce.
- Select Etsy, the channel you want to import listings from, and click Connect.
- After that, give your Etsy channel a nickname, then choose Connect your account, and a window will pop up for you to log in to your Etsy account.
Once Etsy is connected as an Etsy sales channel on LitCommerce, you will be redirected to the LitCommerce dashboard. Let’s move on to the next step, connect the other sales channel–Amazon:
- On the left sidebar, choose Add/manage channels, then click Add New Channel in the right corner
- Choose the Amazon channel by clicking the Connect button.
- Then, give your Amazon sales channel a name before clicking the Connect your account button, and choose your store’s region. A window pop-up allows you to log in to your eBay account.
Step 3: Import Etsy listings and create them on the main store
Let’s import products from the Etsy sales channels to the main store in this step.
- From the left-sidebar menu, choose your Etsy sales channel. From here, click on Import from Etsy.
- After clicking the button, there are a few more questions to answer before the import begins. You can re-import your Etsy listings, auto-link products, or apply specific filters. Once you’re done, click Begin Import.
- Then, a notification will appear, letting you know the import process you are implementing.
To continue the Etsy Amazon integration process, you need to create products from the Etsy sales channel to the main store. (for example, WooCommerce)
- Now, on LitCommerce’s dashboard, select the products you want to list on WooCommerce.
- Then, click Select Action, and choose Create on WooCommerce. The new product listing will be created immediately on your WooCommerce store.
Step 4: List Etsy listings to Amazon
The next step of the Etsy Amazon integration process is to list Etsy products to Amazon. Let’s follow this:
- Look at the left sidebar and navigate to All Products.
- Click Select action, then List products to a channel, and choose Amazon from the list.
- All product data will be copied into draft listings, and from that point, listings data will be maintained separately from the original main store products.
Notes: At this step, the listing has yet to be published in your Amazon store. Now, it’s time to customize your listing information before going live.
Now, there are three main cases in which you can publish your product listing on Amazon.
Case 1: Your product already has an ASIN on Amazon Catalog
- Step 1: Look up an ASIN number from product title keywords, SKU, or other product Identifiers such as GTIN, UPC, etc. Then click Search and LitCommerce will automatically apply your ASIN number.
If you’re looking for a detailed guide on how to find the ASIN number on Amazon, follow the video instructions below:
- Step 2: After applying your ASIN number, complete the Offer tab before listing the product. Then, click Save & Publish to Amazon, and your product will be listed on Amazon.
Important: During the Amazon product listing process, Amazon will constantly notify you about the required fields that need to be filled in before publishing to Amazon. Please be patient to provide all the necessary information!
Case 2: Your products don’t have an ASIN on Amazon catalog but have a GTIN (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc)
If you can not find the ASIN using the GTIN, please submit your products with the GTIN to see whether Amazon can approve your product list. Enter the GTIN, choose the right type (UPC for UPCs, EAN for EANs), and publish as usual.
Now, follow these steps to list your items on Amazon:
- Step 1: Enter GTIN or keywords from the title to search for a corresponding ASIN from the Amazon catalog.
- Step 2: If the product is found in the search results, select that ASIN and proceed to case one.
Some customers may think that the UPC or EAN from the main store is enough. However, after entering the GTIN values (UPC, EAN, MPN, ISBN), they will be used to search Amazon’s system. The product can only be published if there is a matching ASIN.
Case 3: Listing products with the GTIN Exemption
In this case, you already have the GTIN exemption from Amazon.
- Step 1: Please contact us and send us a copy of the confirmation from Amazon. It should include your approval, Brand name, and category. We will configure your Litcommerce account. Then, you can start listing your products from your website to Amazon with GTIN exemption.
- Step 2: Choose the products you want to list on Amazon from the All Products section on the left, click Select Action, then List Products to Channels.
- Step 3: Tick the box beside your Amazon store. And then Add as a draft now.
- Step 4: Switch to your Amazon sales channel, click on the product you want to list on Amazon, and start filling in all the vital information, including Browse Nodes ID, Variant Mapping, and Adding Additional Amazon Fields. As mentioned above, Amazon will send you notifications for the required fields that need to be filled, and please follow them patiently.
- Step 5: After providing all the information that Amazon requires and editing drafts, click Save & Publish to Amazon to publish your listings.
Additionally, LitCommerce supports templates and recipes that can help merchants apply the change, new template, or recipe to all the listings with the template applied. In the Etsy Amazon integration process, this feature saves considerable time and effort when listing or updating information.

Step 5: Enable sync to manage Amazon Etsy inventory and order
After listing Etsy products to Amazon, LitCommerce offers a seamless way to manage your store across Etsy and Amazon stores. With sync features enabled for inventory, pricing, and orders, any updates made on one channel are instantly reflected across all platforms, ensuring seamless order management.
Carry on with the Etsy Amazon integration steps. Follow these steps:
- Choose Etsy from the main dashboard, then click Channel Settings at the top right corner.
- Toggle on Pricing and Inventory Synchronizations
- Click Save Settings
You can use the same guide to enable Amazon sync features. But before diving into the details of each sync type, here are some things to know about Amazon sync before integrating.
Disclaimers: LitCommerce only syncs for FBM listings. As for FBA, we only enable Price sync and have no other sync options.
Let’s dive into the details of each sync type existing in the Etsy Amazon process:
Etsy Amazon Pricing sync
You can manage prices on LitCommerce on multichannel in a dashboard only using this feature.
- Price Sync: In both channels, enabling this sync feature ensures that any price changes in your main store are automatically reflected in your Etsy and Amazon listings.
- Use Sale Price: If you switch the Use Sale Price option on both Etsy and Amazon sales channels, LitCommerce will sync the sale price for price synchronization.
For example, if you have a product with a regular price of $10 and a compare-at price of $15 on your main store, LitCommerce will use $15 as the price on Etsy by default. However, if you enable this option, LitCommerce will use the regular price ($10) for price synchronization instead.
- Currency conversion: This feature handles currency conversion when selling internationally, ensuring your prices are accurately adjusted for different markets. Once you’ve switched this feature, they’ll automatically apply to all your listings.
- Price rules: You can set the price rules for all products on Etsy or Amazon to control and modify the price you want when products are listed. You can increase or decrease your product price by a fixed amount ($) or a percentage (%).
Notes: From now on, Price Sync only updates the price from your main store to the sales channels. If you update your listing price manually on your Etsy or Amazon account, LitCommerce will not reflect the system change; thus, the new price will not be updated on any channel.
Etsy Amazon Inventory sync
Besides pricing, LitCommerce supports managing inventory. This is useful for merchants after the Etsy Amazon integration. Let’s explore additional features this function provides.
- Inventory Sync: Once this option is enabled for both Etsy and Amazon, the inventory of your listings on these platforms will automatically sync with your main store. Any changes in stock quantities in your main store will be reflected on Etsy and Amazon in real time.
- Inventory Rules: With this feature, you can choose to set the quantity for listings on Etsy or Amazon utilizing rules. Once you enable this feature, you can edit a particular Quantity, together with the Minimum Quantity and Maximum Quantity you want to show on Etsy or Amazon via this rule.
For example, if you have a product with a regular price of $10 in your main store, and you choose to increase the product price by 20% and round up the final price on Etsy, LitCommerce will use $12 as the price on Etsy.
- For No Manage stock listings (For those products that are not stock managed on the main store, the quantity will be 0 default), you can set a fixed quantity to display on Etsy or Amazon.
- Automatically set the product on Amazon to out of stock when the quantity in the main store reaches a certain number. This feature lets you keep a backup stock to avoid overselling on multiple platforms.
Etsy Amazon Order sync
Due to some recent limitations on the Amazon API, LitCommerce has had to discontinue the Amazon Order sync. We are contacting Amazon for a solution and will return the function as soon as possible.
Let’s have a look at Etsy order sync options:
- Unlinked order notifications: If you enable this option, LitCommerce will send you an email notification when an order from Etsy has an unlinked listing in the main store. So, you can manually link the listing on the order to the correct product on your main store and sync order again.
- Skip Unpaid Orders: This option allows you to ignore all unpaid new orders on Etsy. We will not import the unpaid order from Etsy to the main store nor sync inventory from that order.
- Import Orders to Main Store: This feature automatically reduces inventory quantities across all connected channels whenever customers place new orders.
- Keep Order Number from Channel: The order number from the channel will be imported and preserved in the order number in the main store.
- Import Orders Without Tax: If you enable this option, LitCommerce will subtract the tax amount from the total amount of the orders before importing them to your main store. If you disable it, LitCommerce will import the orders with the tax amount included.
- Buyer Accepts Marketing: This refers to whether the customer has consented to receive promotional emails from the main store.
- Send Receipt: This refers to whether an order confirmation will be sent to the customer.
- Send Fulfillment Receipt: This refers to whether a shipping confirmation will be sent to the customer.

Why Sell on Etsy and Amazon
Selling on both Amazon and Etsy can boost your online business by tapping into each platform’s unique strengths.
Huge customer bases
According to Amz Scout, Amazon has 3.25 billion visitors and over 310 million active accounts. Amazon connects you to a massive audience spanning all ages and genders globally. It’s perfect for products with broad appeal, mainly if you sell items that can be mass-produced.
While Etsy is all about handcrafted, vintage, and unique products, with nearly 100 million active buyers in the first quarter of 2024, it’s a great place to connect with people who appreciate creativity and originality. By selling on both platforms, merchants can access a vast and active customer base, significantly increasing their visibility and potential for sales.
Diverse marketing opportunities
Selling on Amazon gets your products in front of a huge audience, while Etsy’s personal touch helps build a loyal customer base that appreciates your story and values. In addition, you can use your presence on one platform to promote your products on the other, driving traffic and sales across both channels.
Additionally, competition on Amazon is intense, so to stand out, you’ll need to leverage Amazon’s advertising tools, such as Sponsored Product Ads and Sponsored Brands, to boost visibility. In contrast, Etsy emphasizes building personal connections with customers, where the platform values uniqueness and the seller’s story.
Broaden your product offering
Amazon is the place to be if you sell more standardized or mass-produced items. It’s where customers are used to quick purchases with minimal browsing time. Besides, Etsy excels in selling unique, custom, or handmade items; customers here are more willing to pay a premium for personalized or one-of-a-kind products.
So, selling on both platforms allows you to explore and test different product lines, catering to diverse audiences and market preferences.
Seasonal balance
Different times of the year can perform differently across platforms. Etsy often sees a spike during holidays when people seek unique gifts. But, unlike Etsy, which is more seasonal, Amazon benefits from consistent year-round sales across various categories, including electronics, home goods, and groceries.
In December 2023, Etsy experienced a significant uptick in traffic, reaching around 536.2 million visits, representing a 7.27% increase compared to November. This surge is typical as consumers flock to Etsy for unique gifts during the holiday season. That’s why selling on both lets you capitalize on seasonal market trends.
