As of June 2021, eBay has terminated its partnership with Paypal, meaning that Paypal payments are no longer available for eBay seller account holders. Previously, Paypal was a primary payment option for eBay sellers to receive payment for their orders.

Whether you’re considering creating a seller account on eBay or you already have one, it’s important to be aware of the updated eBay processing payment. The new payout method is called eBay Management Payments; this is how to get money from eBay up to date. It uses a single fee structure that combines commissions and payment processing under one system.

There are two primary ways to get paid on eBay once use eBay management payments:

1. Payouts via checking account

When you register as a seller on eBay, part of the process involves verifying your identity, checking account details, and, if applicable, company information. Once verified, eBay will initiate payouts directly to your chosen checking account.

This streamlines the payment process, eliminating the need to transfer funds to PayPal and then to your bank account. You can easily link your checking account during the managed payments registration, ensuring a seamless and direct transfer of funds.

2. Payouts via Payoneer

You can check the Payments tab in Seller Hub to see which Payoneer account is currently set up to receive your eBay payouts.

In most cases, you can’t edit your linked Payoneer account once it’s connected with your eBay account. However, you can edit it if you’re upgrading to a business account.

To upgrade to a business account, you need to first upgrade your eBay account from personal to business. You can do this by going to Selling on eBay or the Payments tab in Seller Hub and following these steps:

How to Track your eBay Payouts

Besides knowing how to get paid on eBay, you should also learn how to track your payouts. Tracking your eBay payouts is a straightforward process, providing you with transparency and control over your funds. Once eBay initiates a payout, you will receive an email notification to keep you informed about the process. Each payout is assigned a unique Payout ID, making it easy for you to monitor your funds.

EBay also provides a Payoneer reference ID for additional tracking options for each payout. You can access this reference ID in the Payout details section of Seller Hub. With the Payoneer reference ID, you can track your payouts directly with Payoneer if needed.
