How to Connect Shopify to Amazon Manually

To start exploring how to sell on Amazon products with Shopify, first, you need to grab some important requirement in order to connect your two channels.

Before you get started to integrate Amazon with Shopify:

  • Having an Amazon Professional Seller account and an active Shopify store. This is a must when you sell Amazon products on Shopify. It’s quite easy to create a new Shopify account. But with Amazon, you need to go through a “Tax interview”, which is basically just a straightforward questionnaire.
  • Providing a bank account where Amazon can transfer your earnings. Keep in mind that the account needs to accept and transfer foreign currency such as the US dollar.
  • Having a clear return policy for both Shopify and Amazon. Make sure to check out the Amazon policy and Shopify policy so you can create the best version of the return policy for your multi-channel store.

After creating the Professional Seller Account you need to get approval from Amazon that your products fit the categories.

As being a SMB seller, when choosing the manual way, you might run into some difficulties  such as:

  • Be overwhelming because the process is quite complicated and requires technical knowledge.
  • Take up a lot of time and effort to manually import and export data between 2 channels.
  • Run the risk of missing or over selling products that are out-of-stock as you don’t update the inventory frequently.

Let’s jump right into 4 steps to kickoff your business on Amazon – the most well-known marketplace with your existing Shopify store.

#Step 1: Integrate your Amazon store with Shopify.

From your Shopify Admin page, you can add Amazon as one of your sales channels.

  1. Log in to Shopify admin.
  2. Click the ‘+’ icon next to Sales Channels.
  3. Click Amazon.Add Amazon channel on Shopify
  4. Select Add Channel.
  5. Click Connect to Amazon.Connect to Amazon
  6. Once the process is complete, just go over your Amazon Seller account and allow Shopify to access your account.

Also, you can add Amazon as a sales channel through the Shopify App Store if you like.Shopify's Amazon channel

      5. Set up inventory after filling in the list price for each version. When the procedure is finished, click Publish.

Alternatively, you list items from Shopify to Amazon.

      1. Go to Amazon after logging into Shopify admin.
      2. Each linkable good discovered by the Amazon sales channel will have a banner. Because the Amazon sales channel does not enable Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) offerings, FBA-fulfilled items cannot be linked to Shopify products. From the Listings page, choose Link items.Link Amazon's product to Shopify

Note that on the Edit listing page, you can unlink all of a product’s connected versions.

      #Step 3: Manage your inventory

To use Shopify to fulfill Amazon purchases, follow these steps:

      1. Go to your Shopify admin page and log in. Select Orders from the drop-down menu then choose an order number.
      2. To open the fulfillment page, click Start fulfilling under the Order Details section.Start fulfilling
