Product video upload is now live for LitCommerce as your main store

LitCommerce product Media section with Upload New, Select From Library and Add from URL options, showing an uploaded product video

Starting September 15, 2026, you can upload videos to your products directly in LitCommerce when you use LitCommerce as your main store. Videos are saved to the product and to your media library, next to your product images.

This update also adds a pop-up detail view, so you can open any image or video at full size without leaving the page you’re on.

Add a video from the Media section

Open a product and go to the Media section. Drag and drop your file into the upload area, or use one of three options: Upload New, Select From Library, or Add from URL.

Images and videos sit in the same media list. Arrange the order to set which image shows first as the primary image.

Video requirements

Each product can have one video. The file needs to meet these limits:

  • Format: MP4 or MOV
  • Resolution: up to 1080p
  • File size: up to 100MB
  • Length: under 1 minute

A video longer than one minute or larger than 100MB won’t upload, so trim or compress it first. If you shot in 4K, export the clip at 1080p before you upload it.

Check your media in the new pop-up view

Click any image or video in a product or in the media library to open it in a pop-up. You can check a photo for blur, or play a video from start to finish, without opening a new tab or downloading the file.

Who this update is for

This update is for sellers who manage their catalog in LitCommerce itself, without a separate store like Shopify or WooCommerce connected as the source. If that’s your setup, your product images and videos now live in one place.

A soap maker can add a 30-second clip that shows the bar’s lather and texture. A guitar-parts reseller can film a pickup from every angle to show its condition. A short video answers questions that photos alone can’t.
