How to Integrate Shopify with Walmart?

Step1: Connect Your Shopify Store to Walmart Seller Account

Set up your Shopify store through the app menu or install our app directly from the app store. Your Shopify store will act as the central source for listing products on the Walmart marketplace.

Once your Walmart Seller account is connected, LitCommerce also enables seamless integration with other major channels, including Amazon, eBay, TikTok Shop, and over 10 additional platforms.

Step 2: Import and List Shopify Products on Walmart

Our integration handles three primary listing scenarios:

  • Scenario 1: You want to use LitCommerce to publish your existing Shopify products to the Walmart marketplace.
  • Scenario 2: You already sell on Walmart and need to pull those active listings into your Shopify store via our system.
  • Scenario 3: You have active catalogs on both platforms and want to link them seamlessly.

Any items prepared for Walmart are automatically saved in the Draft tab. Here, you can review and refine them before publishing, leveraging our AI tool to craft highly optimized Walmart product descriptions.

Step 3: Enable Automated Shopify Walmart Sync

The Shopify Walmart integration features a 15-Minute Sync Frequency. This ensures that product details like titles, images, inventory, pricing, and orders are regularly updated between both platforms.

Step 4: Streamline Walmart Order Fulfillment in One Dashboard

By enabling Order Sync, your Shopify store automatically receives up-to-date order details from Walmart, allowing you to review and fulfill orders from a single dashboard.

Detailed Guide on Integrating Shopify with Walmart

If you’re already selling on Shopify and want to reach more marketplace shoppers, adding Walmart can be a smart next step. A Shopify Walmart integration lets you bring your Shopify catalog to Walmart while keeping product, inventory, and order management more centralized.

With LitCommerce, you can set up your Shopify Walmart marketplace integration in four main steps, with no coding required.

Here’s what we’ll cover in this guide:

  • Step 1: Connect Shopify to Walmart
  • Step 2: List and import products on Walmart
  • Step 3: Enable Shopify Walmart sync
  • Step 4: Manage Walmart orders from Shopify

Step 1: Connect Shopify to Walmart

First, connect Shopify as your Main Store in LitCommerce. The Main Store acts as your central product catalog, where LitCommerce pulls product information, inventory, and order data for your connected sales channels.

You can connect Shopify to LitCommerce in two ways: install LitCommerce directly from the Shopify App Store, or create a LitCommerce account and add your Shopify store from the dashboard.

Connect your first platform

Once Shopify is set as your Main Store, LitCommerce will take you to the First Channel Setup page. From here, follow these steps to start your Shopify Walmart integration:

  1. From the list of supported channels, select Walmart from the available channels.
  2. Enter your Walmart shop name.
  3. Click Connect Your Account.
  4. Sign in to your Walmart seller account and allow LitCommerce to access the requested information.

During the setup, LitCommerce will show the information required for the channel you are connecting. Complete all required fields before continuing.

Once the connection is approved, Shopify will remain your Main Store, while Walmart will appear as a connected sales channel. From there, you can start managing Walmart products and orders through the same LitCommerce workspace.

Besides Walmart, LitCommerce supports other Shopify integrations, such as Shopify eBay, Shopify Amazon, and Shopify TikTok Shop. You can add more sales channels to the same Main Store as your business grows.

Step 2: List & import products on Walmart

With Shopify and Walmart connected, LitCommerce automatically pulls your Shopify products into the central catalog, ready to publish. How you move forward depends on where your listings currently live.

Here’s how each case works.

Case 1: You want to list Shopify products on Walmart

If your products are already on Shopify but not yet on Walmart, you can send them to Walmart as draft listings first. This gives you a chance to review the information and complete any Walmart-specific requirements before publishing.

Here is how to list Shopify products on Walmart:

  • Go to All Products and select the Shopify items you want to list on Walmart.
  • Click Select Action, then choose List Products to Channels.

Add Shopify products to Walmart

  • Check the box next to your Walmart shop and click Add As Draft Now.

Edit Walmart listings

  • Next, go to your Walmart channel and review the draft listings. Walmart may require extra product details that are not included in your Shopify data, so make sure all required fields are completed. Then, double-check key listing information such as titles, descriptions, images, categories, and prices before publishing.
  • Once each listing looks ready, click Save and Publish to Walmart.

Case 2: You want to import Walmart products to Shopify

If you already sell on Walmart and want to bring those products into Shopify, you can import your existing Walmart listings through LitCommerce instead of recreating them manually.

Here is how to import Walmart listings to Shopify using LitCommerce:

  1. On the Walmart channel tab, click Import from Walmart.
  2. Filter which products to import and let LitCommerce auto-link matching items between Shopify and Walmart.
  3. Click Begin Import.

Import Walmart listings

  • Once your Walmart listings load into LitCommerce, select the ones you want in Shopify, click Select Action, then Create on Shopify.

That’s it. Your selected Walmart products will then be created in Shopify, while matching products can stay linked across both channels for future synchronization.

Case 3: You want to link products on Shopify and Walmart

If you already sell the same items on Shopify and Walmart, there’s no need to recreate them. In LitCommerce, linked products are marked with a blue dot, while unlinked products show a red dot.

Create linking

To link the unlinked products across Walmart and Shopify, follow these steps:

  1. Hover over the red dot next to the unlinked product.
  2. Select Link To A Product.
  3. Find the matching product in your catalog.
  4. Click Select next to the correct item.

Once linked, LitCommerce recognizes the Shopify product and Walmart listing as the same item. You can then use your sync settings to keep their inventory, prices, and other supported data aligned.

Step 3: Enable Shopify Walmart Sync

After your products are listed, imported, or linked, the next step is to configure synchronization. This is what keeps Shopify and Walmart aligned without requiring you to update the same information manually on both platforms.

To manage these settings, open your Walmart channel in LitCommerce and go to Channel Settings. There are three main sync options to configure:

  • Price sync: Turn on price sync if you want Walmart prices to update automatically when you change the corresponding product price in Shopify. You can also create pricing rules to increase or decrease Walmart prices by a fixed amount or percentage. This is useful when you need different pricing for marketplace fees, promotions, or other channel-specific costs.
  • Inventory sync: Inventory sync keeps available stock aligned between Shopify and Walmart. When inventory changes, LitCommerce updates the connected listing based on your sync settings. You can also set minimum or maximum quantities, control out-of-stock behavior, or choose to send only a percentage of your Shopify inventory to Walmart.
  • Order sync: Turn on Import Orders to Main Store if you want Walmart orders to be imported into Shopify. This allows Walmart orders to appear alongside your Shopify orders, giving you one place to follow your order flow.

After choosing your preferred settings, click Save Settings at the bottom of the page.

Step 4: Manage Walmart orders from Shopify

Once Import Orders to Main Store is enabled, Walmart orders can be imported into Shopify together with your regular Shopify orders. Instead of switching between Shopify and Walmart whenever a new order comes in, you can keep more of your order management in one workflow. From Shopify, you can:

  • Review Shopify and Walmart orders in one place
  • Follow fulfillment and shipment status
  • Manage orders from Walmart alongside other connected channels
  • Compare order activity across your sales channels

And that’s the basic setup.

After connecting Shopify and Walmart through LitCommerce, you can publish Shopify products to Walmart, import existing Walmart listings, link products that already exist on both platforms, sync inventory and prices, and bring Walmart orders into Shopify.

This gives you a more centralized way to manage your Shopify Walmart integration while reducing the amount of repetitive work that comes with running the two channels separately.

Popular Questions About Shopify Walmart Integration

Not seeing your question listed here? Contact us for the quickest answer.
Do I need an approved Walmart Marketplace seller account before connecting it to Shopify?

Yes. You’ll need an active Walmart Marketplace seller account before connecting Walmart to Shopify through LitCommerce.

If you’re not a Walmart seller yet, you’ll first need to apply and complete Walmart’s onboarding requirements, including business verification, fulfillment setup, and catalog setup. Once your Walmart account is ready, you can connect it with your Shopify store through LitCommerce and start managing both channels together.

Can I bulk-list my existing Shopify products on Walmart without recreating everything manually?

Yes. LitCommerce lets you bring your Shopify products into Walmart without rebuilding every listing from scratch.

You can select the Shopify products you want to sell, create Walmart listings in bulk, and adjust Walmart-specific information before publishing. This helps you reuse your existing Shopify catalog while still meeting Walmart’s listing requirements.

What exactly syncs between Shopify and Walmart?

LitCommerce keeps your key selling data connected across Shopify and Walmart, including inventory, pricing, listings (title and description), and orders.

With Shopify set as your Main Store, you can manage product information from one central catalog and sync updates to your Walmart listings. Walmart orders can also be imported into your Shopify workflow, reducing the need to switch constantly between Shopify and Walmart Seller Center.

How does LitCommerce help prevent overselling between Shopify and Walmart?

LitCommerce automatically keeps Walmart inventory aligned with your Shopify stock when Inventory Sync is enabled.

For example, when inventory changes in Shopify, LitCommerce updates the corresponding Walmart listing so both channels stay aligned. You can also configure inventory rules to control how much stock appears on Walmart, helping reduce the risk of selling inventory you no longer have.

How are Walmart orders and fulfillment handled after I connect Shopify and Walmart?

Walmart orders can flow directly into your existing Shopify order workflow, so you can manage and fulfill them alongside your Shopify orders.

Once an order is fulfilled, LitCommerce can automatically send tracking information back to Walmart. This means you can keep using your familiar Shopify fulfillment workflow or connected fulfillment providers instead of manually copying order and tracking information between platforms.

Will LitCommerce duplicate or overwrite my existing Walmart listings?

You don’t have to recreate Walmart listings that already exist. LitCommerce can link your existing Walmart listings with matching products in your Shopify catalog.

Matching products can be automatically linked based on SKU, while products that aren’t matched can be linked manually. Once connected, LitCommerce can use those links to keep inventory and other supported data synchronized instead of creating another copy of the same product.
