Square eBay Integration

Selling on both Square and eBay gives you more places to reach customers, but it also creates more work behind the scenes. Product updates need to match, stock needs to stay accurate, and orders need to move through a clear workflow. That is where a Square eBay integration becomes useful.

LitCommerce connects the two platforms with Square as your Main Store and eBay as a marketplace channel. From one setup, you can move products between the platforms, keep supported data synchronized, and bring eBay orders back to Square.

This guide walks you through the process in four steps:

• Step 1: Connect Square to eBay
• Step 2: List and import products on eBay
• Step 3: Enable Square eBay sync
• Step 4: Manage eBay order flow

Step 1: Connect Square to eBay

Begin by setting Square as your Main Store on LitCommerce. The Main Store acts as your control center. It holds all your products, stock, and orders, and every channel you add later will sync back to it.

There are two ways to bring Square on board. You can install LitCommerce from the Square App Store, or connect Square directly from the LitCommerce dashboard. Both options lead to the same setup, so pick whichever fits your workflow.

Once Square is set as your Main Store, LitCommerce will take you to the First Channel Setup page. From here, follow these steps to start your Square eBay integration:

1. From the list of supported channels, select eBay.
2. Enter your eBay shop name and click Connect
3. Enter your eBay shop name and click Connect Your Account.
4. Sign in to your eBay seller account and allow LitCommerce to access the requested information.

During the setup, LitCommerce will show the information needed for your eBay connection. Complete all required fields before moving on.

Once the connection is approved, Square remains your Main Store while eBay appears as a connected sales channel. At this point, the two platforms are connected and you can start moving products between them.

Step 2: List & import products on eBay

Connecting the two platforms is only the first part. The next step is deciding what to do with the products you already have. You may want to publish Square products to eBay, bring existing eBay listings into Square, or simply link products that already exist on both platforms.

Here is how each case works.

Case 1: You want to list Square products on eBay

If your products are already in Square but not yet on eBay, you can first send them to eBay as draft listings. Using drafts gives you time to check the product information and complete any eBay-specific fields before the listings go live.

Here is how to list Square products on eBay:

• Go to All Products and select the Square items you want to list on eBay.
• Click Select Action and choose Add to Channel Drafts.
• Check the box next to your eBay shop and click Add As Draft Now.

If you have an active LitCommerce subscription, you can also add every item in the All Products section to your selected sales channels at once using the Add All Products To Channel Drafts button.

Once each listing looks ready, you have the option to choose between Quick Publish and Manual Publish

Pro tip: Square and eBay do not always use the same product fields. eBay may ask for extra information such as categories, item specifics, brand details, or other marketplace attributes. Reviewing these fields before publishing can help you avoid incomplete listings later.

Case 2: You want to import eBay products to Square

If you already have products listed on eBay, recreating them manually in Square can quickly become repetitive. Instead, LitCommerce lets you import those listings and create the corresponding products in Square.

Here is how to import eBay listings to Square using LitCommerce:

• On the eBay channel tab, click Import from eBay.
• Filter which products to import, and let LitCommerce auto-link matching items between Square and eBay.
• Click Begin Import.

• Once your eBay listings load into LitCommerce, select the ones you want in Square, click Select Action, then Create on Square.

The selected products will then be created in Square.

If LitCommerce finds a matching Square product during the import process, it can also link the two records instead of creating a separate product. This helps keep future updates connected across both platforms.

Case 3: You want to link products on Square and eBay

Sometimes, the same products are already listed on both Square and eBay. In that case, creating another copy is unnecessary. Instead, you can link the existing records so LitCommerce recognizes them as the same product.

In LitCommerce, a blue dot shows that a listing is linked, while a red dot means it is still unlinked.

To link an unlinked eBay listing to a Square product:

1. Hover over the red dot next to the unlinked product.
2. Select Link To A Product.
3. Find the matching product in your catalog.
4. Click Select next to the correct item.

Once linked, the Square product and eBay listing can share supported price, inventory, and other channel data based on the sync settings you choose next.

Step 3: Enable Square eBay Sync

Once your products are listed or linked, the biggest challenge is keeping both platforms updated as things change. Without synchronization, a price change in Square may need to be repeated on eBay, and stock can become inaccurate if one channel is updated later than the other. To control this, open your eBay channel in LitCommerce and go to Channel Settings.

There are three main synchronization options to configure:

• Price sync: Turn on Price Sync if you want changes to your Square prices to update the corresponding eBay listings automatically. You can also create fixed or percentage-based pricing rules if your eBay prices need to be different because of marketplace fees, promotions, or other channel-specific costs.
• Inventory sync: Turn on Inventory Sync to keep stock quantities aligned between linked Square products and eBay listings. When inventory changes in Square, LitCommerce updates the corresponding eBay listing based on your settings. You can also set minimum or maximum quantities, control what happens when stock reaches zero, or choose to send only part of your Square inventory to eBay.
• Order sync: Turn on Import Orders to Main Store if you want eBay orders to be imported into Square alongside your regular Square orders.

LitCommerce synchronizes supported pricing, inventory, and order data every 15 minutes. Once you have selected the settings that fit your workflow, click Save Settings.

Step 4: Manage eBay orders from Square

Product and inventory sync can reduce a lot of manual work, but order management is another area where running two channels separately can become inconvenient.

When Import Orders to Main Store is enabled, eBay orders can be brought into Square so you do not have to check each platform every time a new order comes in.

From Square, you can:

• Review Square and eBay orders in one place
• Follow fulfillment and shipment status
• Manage eBay orders alongside orders from other connected channels
• Compare order activity across your sales channels

And that completes the setup.

With Square and eBay connected through LitCommerce, you can publish Square products to eBay, import existing eBay listings into Square, link products that already exist on both platforms, synchronize prices and inventory, and bring eBay orders into Square.
