LitCommerce Product Update
Product Update: Improved Handling for Bundle Products Created with Shopify Bundles App
We’ve updated the way LitCommerce handles Bundle Products created using the Shopify Bundles app.
Thanks to recent updates from Shopify, LitCommerce can now correctly detect the items configured inside a bundle. This allows us to improve order import behavior and inventory synchronization when bundle products are listed and sold on connected marketplaces.
For bundle products created with the Shopify Bundles app, LitCommerce now supports the following workflow:
- LitCommerce can detect the individual items configured inside a bundle
- When a bundle product is listed on a marketplace and an order is generated
- LitCommerce automatically imports the order back to Shopify as Unlinked
- Inventory is then synced correctly for each individual item inside the bundle
This ensures that stock levels remain accurate for bundled items after orders are placed.
If your bundle product contains product variants, the listing behavior works as follows:
- When listed on a marketplace, the bundle is created as a single product
- Each product variant inside the bundle is mapped as a separate Option
However, marketplaces usually limit Option Name length to 30–50 characters.
Because of this:
- You must shorten or edit the Option Name before publishing the bundle
- If the Option Name exceeds the allowed length, the marketplace will return an error
- In this case, you’ll need to update the Option Name and publish the product again
Please note the following:
- This update only applies to bundle products created using the Shopify Bundles app
- Bundle products created with third-party bundle apps are not supported in this workflow
- Option Name length limits are enforced by marketplaces, not LitCommerce
If you’re using Shopify Bundles, you can start listing bundle products with this updated logic today.
