eBay Bulk Listing – Two Fast & Easy Ways to Upload Products in Bulk
This LitCommerce Academy video guides you through two ways to bulk list products on eBay. You’ll first learn how to upload products with eBay’s free listing template. Then, you’ll see how to use LitCommerce to import, edit, and publish multiple eBay listings more efficiently.
Method 1: Bulk List to eBay Using an eBay Listing Template
This method is free and does not require any additional listing tools. However, you’ll need to prepare your product data and image links before uploading the file to eBay.
Step 1: Download the Listing Template
First, log in to eBay Seller Hub and go to Reports.
Next, click Upload, then select Get template. Set the source to Listings and choose Create or schedule new listings as the template type.
After that, select either CSV or Excel as the file format. Then, choose the categories that match your products. Depending on eBay’s available options, you can add up to five or ten categories.
Once everything is ready, click Download. The file will include the columns required for your selected product categories.
Step 2: Fill In Your Product Data
Now, open the template in Excel or Google Sheets. Each row in the file represents one product.
Although the template includes many columns, you do not need to complete every field. Instead, focus on the required fields first. You can check the note beside each column to see whether a field is required and learn what information to enter.
For example, select Add in the Action column because you are creating new eBay listings. Then, choose the correct Category ID from the categories included in your template.
Continue filling in the main listing details, including:
-
Title
-
Price
-
Quantity
-
Condition ID
-
Description
-
Duration
-
Listing format
-
Item location
-
Shipping details
-
Item photo URL
Whenever possible, add complete product information to improve your listings’ visibility in eBay search.
Step 3: Host Your Product Images Online
eBay does not allow you to upload image files directly through the listing template. Therefore, your product images must be hosted online before you upload the file.
For example, you can upload your images to an image-hosting service such as ImgBB. Then, copy each image’s direct link and paste it into the corresponding Item Photo URL field in the template.
Make sure every image link is publicly accessible so eBay can retrieve the image when processing your file.
Step 4: Upload the File to eBay
Once your product data and image links are ready, return to Seller Hub > Reports > Upload.
Click Upload template, choose the file you just edited, and upload it to eBay.
eBay will then process the file. Once the upload is complete, you’ll see a confirmation message showing that your products have been submitted successfully.
Method 2: Bulk List Products to eBay Using LitCommerce
With LitCommerce, you can manage your product catalog in one place and publish multiple products to eBay at once.
Moreover, if you also sell on Shopify, WooCommerce, Etsy, Amazon, or other platforms, LitCommerce helps you list products across channels while keeping inventory synchronized.
Step 1: Set Up Your Main Store
First, choose the platform that will act as your Main Store.
If you already have an online store on Shopify or WooCommerce, connect it to LitCommerce. This allows you to use your existing product catalog without copying each product to eBay manually.
Otherwise, choose LitCommerce as your Main Store. LitCommerce will then become the central place where you add and manage your products.
In this video, LitCommerce is selected as the Main Store. Once you have made your choice, click Next.
Step 2: Add eBay as a Sales Channel
Next, find eBay in the list of supported marketplaces and click Connect under the eBay logo.
Then, follow the on-screen instructions to sign in to your eBay seller account and authorize LitCommerce.
Once the connection is complete, eBay will be added as one of your sales channels.
Step 3: Add Products to LitCommerce
Now, add the products you want to publish on eBay.
You can create products individually and upload their images directly to LitCommerce. As a result, you do not need to host your images on a separate platform.
Alternatively, if you already have a product file, you can import multiple products at once.
In this example, an Excel product file is uploaded. After choosing the file, click Import Products.
LitCommerce’s AI field mapping will automatically match your file columns with the corresponding LitCommerce fields. You can then review and adjust the mappings if necessary.
Once everything looks correct, click Start Import. Your products will appear in the All Products tab.
Step 4: Select Products to List on eBay
After importing your products, click Quick & Auto List to eBay.
Next, choose the products you want to publish. You can select all products or use filters to narrow down your selection by:
-
Product type
-
Category
-
Brand
-
Tags
In the video, the products are filtered by category, and Women’s Sleepwear is selected.
Once you have chosen the right products, click Next.
Step 5: Create Templates for Your eBay Listings
Next, create templates to apply the same eBay settings to multiple listings at once.
Start with a Category Template. Give the template a name, choose the correct eBay category, and then set the listing format and product condition.
You can also complete the required item specifics. To speed up the process, map the available fields from your Main Store to the corresponding eBay fields.
After that, create a Business Policies Template. Here, select your shipping, payment, and return policies, along with the relevant country and region.
Optionally, you can create a Price Template to automatically adjust your eBay prices. For example, you can set eBay prices to be 5% higher than your Main Store prices.
Once all the required templates are ready, click Next.
Step 6: Publish Your Listings to eBay
Finally, choose how you want to publish your products.
You can save the current setup for future use and enable Automatic Publishing. When this option is active, new products that match your selected conditions will automatically be published to eBay using the templates you created.
Next, click Next to review a summary of your bulk-listing setup. The summary will show the total number of listings being published and the templates applied to them.
If everything looks correct, click Publish to eBay.
LitCommerce will then send all selected products to eBay at once. You’ll also receive a notification if any listings fail, so you can review and fix them.
